Dance//Novella is excited to launch our first-ever Summer Intensive, offering two options to choose from!

Option 1: 7-Day Program
Cost: $650 CAD

Elevate Your Artistic Practice

This comprehensive program offers a deep dive into creative exploration, professional development, and collaboration. Led by Dance//Novella leadership and guest facilitators, participants will engage in a week-long professional development opportunity designed to enhance their skills and better position them for job opportunities in the dance industry. We are happy to offer a limited amount of BIPOC scholarships and payment plans to help battle financial barriers.

What’s Included:

  • Daily Classes: Contemporary or Improvisation—designed to strengthen your technique and artistry.

  • Solo Performance: Learn two solos during the week. At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to have one solo professionally filmed with stage lighting—perfect for auditions or portfolios.

  • Collaborative Creation: Collaborate on an original piece to be performed and professionally filmed on the final day. Friends and family are welcome to attend the showcase on Sunday Aug 10th!

Schedule:
Dates: Aug 4th to 10th, 2025.
Daily from 9:00 AM–4:15 PM

How to Apply:
Applicants must submit their CV and a 2–3 minute dance video via our Google form.

Selection Process:
We welcome dancers aged 18 and older who are seeking professional development opportunities to advance their journey as professional dance artists. Our application process is designed to ensure the program aligns with your goals and aspirations.

Deadline:
Applications are due by May 15, 2025. Please note that spots will be offered within one week of receiving your application, and the application period will close as soon as all places have been filled.

Option 2: 5-Day Intensive
Cost: $400 CAD

Ideal for dancers looking to refine their skills and deepen their connection to contemporary improvisation and repertoire, this five-day evening intensive focuses on sharpening techniques through the exploration of Dance//Novella repertoire. Participants will gain valuable insights into the company’s creative approach while building their artistic range.

Dates: August 4th - 8th
Daily from 5:00 PM–8:45 PM

How to Apply: The Dance//Novella 5 Day intensive is open to anyone who has a minimum of 4 years of dance training.
