Opportunity: Dance//Novella invites 10 emerging professional dancers to collaborate on a new multidisciplinary dance work exploring identity and transformation. Supported by The Dance Centre and The Polygon Gallery, this three-week residency includes two performances at The Polygon and one at The Dance Centre for International Dance Day 2025.

Who is this for: Emerging professional dancers with post-secondary education in dance.

Benefits: Network with industry professionals, learn new techniques, collaborate on a new dance-theater work and enhance your resume. Participants will receive a $250 stipend for each project phase, totalling $500, and will be provided with performance videos and photos. Please note that this is considered as a paid educational opportunity intended for artists seeking further development.

Eligibility: Attend over 90% of January dates and 100% of April dates.

How to apply: We invite interested applicants to submit a resume, a letter of interest detailing your movement background and why you would like to participate as well as two contrasting videos of you dancing. The videos can be anything that you feel showcases who you are as an artist.
